Russian oil supplies to China in Sept rise 22% YoY, second to Saudi

  • Chinese refiners ramped up their purchases of Russian crude in September, sending imports surging over 20% year-on-year, according to official data cited in a Reuters report Monday.
  • Russian crude delivered to China amounted to 7.46 million tons last month, equivalent to 1.83 million barrels per day, figures from the Chinese General Administration of Customs showed.
  • That’s a rise of 22% compared with a year ago, but is lower than the 1.96 million barrels per day logged in August.
