  • According to sources, Biden administration officials are considering national security reviews of Elon Musk’s Twitter Inc. agreement and SpaceX’s Starlink satellite network.
  • US officials are uneasy about Musk’s recent threat to discontinue selling Starlink satellite service to Ukraine, which he said had cost him $80 million, and his increasingly Russia-friendly position after a series of tweets that presented peace plans favourable to President Vladimir Putin. His aspirations to buy Twitter with foreign investors also worry them.
  • They suggested using the US Committee on Foreign Investment statute to investigate Musk’s deals and operations for national security hazards.
  • Twitter slumped 5.1% in New York on Friday.
