  • Ukraine economy to drop roughly 32% in 2022: Central Bank
  • On Thursday, the Ukrainian central bank predicted a 32% drop in GDP and 30% inflation owing to Russia’s invasion.
  • In a quarterly inflation report, the bank predicted 4% to 5% GDP growth in 2023 and 2024 if security threats decrease and demand rises.
  • It predicted a 30% unemployment rate this year due to weaker domestic demand, interrupted logistics, and substantial war-related labour force and production losses.
  • The bank expects inflation to fall to 21% next year and below 10% in 2024.
