  • Xiaomi India, four years after its start, closed its financial services business to focus on selling good smartphones.
  • In March 2022, Xiaomi India terminated Mi Financial Services as part of its yearly strategy assessment and to focus on its core corporate businesses.
  • Xiaomi’s finance business has two applications. In 2019, Mi Pay accepted UPI, credit, and debit cards, while Mi Credit, introduced as a pilot project in May 2018, offered low-interest financing.
  • The company removed all apps from Google Play and its own app store.
