Adani wants to expand Mumbai’s power distribution, including JNPT.

  • In order to expand its electricity distribution operations into further parts of Mumbai, including the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust, Adani Electricity Navi Mumbai (AENM) has applied for a licence (JNPT).
  • AENM suggests investing ₹5,700 crore over a five-year period.
  • The Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) has received an application from AENM and its parent company Adani Transmission Limited (ATL) (MERC).
