As construction picks back up, protesters obstruct trucks at Adani’s Vizhinjam Seaport.

  • Adani Group’s attempts to resume construction on the ₹7,500 million Vizhinjam Seaport in Thiruvananthapuram were thwarted by protesters from a nearby fishing community, according to a company representative.
  • Around 25 vehicles that attempted to enter the port were forced to turn around due to protesters’ stone-throwing.
  • Following the involvement of the Kerala High Court, Adani Group started working on the project again on Saturday.
