Byju’s relents and reverses his decision to shut down activities in Kerala

After Byju Raveendran, CEO and founder of Byju’s, met Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vajayan and Sri Jayadev met labour department authorities, the edtech company agreed to reopen its Trivandrum office.
A week earlier, a group of employees met Kerala labour minister V Sivankutty to accuse Byju’s of pressuring over 170 people to resign.
In a November 2 meeting, the world’s most valuable edtech business also agreed to rehire last month’s resigning staff, according to a Facebook post.
Vineeth Chandran, secretary of techie welfare organisation Prathidhwani, confirmed the development at the meeting.
