- According to the Dawn newspaper, Pakistan has received financial aid of $20 billion from China, $9 billion from Saudi Arabia, and $4 billion from China.
- China has promised to expedite the processing for a $9.8 billion high-speed rail project from Karachi to Peshawar during the recent visit of Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to Beijing, the newspaper said.
