Cloudtail fined 1 lakh for selling defective pressure cookers

  • Online retailer Cloudtail India Private Limited was fined Rs.
  • 1 lakh by the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) for violating BIS regulations by selling household pressure cookers.
  • The e-retailer was ordered by the CCPA to recall and repay customers for the costs of 1,033 of these pressure cookers and to produce a compliance report within 45 days.
