Crypto.com sends $400 million in Ethereum to another exchange.

  • Crypto.com has acknowledged that it transmitted over $400 million in Ethereum digital currency to Gate.io by accident.
  • According to CEO of Crypto.com Kris Marszalek, the company unintentionally transmitted 320,000 cryptocurrencies to a “whitelisted” address that belonged to the corporate account at Gate.io when sending them to one of its offline wallets.
  • Over the following days, Crypto.com went on to withdraw the money back to its cold wallets.
  • The company stated, “Crypto.com successfully withdrew the entire amount of ETH and returned it to our cold storage.”
