For the first time since 2009, Alibaba decides not to share Singles’ Day sales figures.

  • For the first time since the annual Singles’ Day shopping carnival began in 2009, Alibaba Group kept the final sales total private.
  • But it said that the outcomes were comparable to previous year.
  • Despite economic issues and COVID-19-related impact, the event “produced results in line with last year’s GMV performance,” according to the statement.
