India will maintain buying Russian oil despite US warnings, Jaishankar said.

  • Russia is not a stable supplier of energy, according to US State Department Spokesperson Ned Price, a day after External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar indicated that India will continue to buy Russian oil because it benefits India and that doing so has been successful.
  • Price continued, “It is in the collective interest for India to lessen its dependence; it is not in the interest of the area or Ukraine.”
