India’s unemployment rate drops to 7.2% in July-Sept 2022: NSO survey

According to a National Statistical Office (NSO) survey, India’s urban unemployment rate for people 15 and older decreased from 9.8% in July to September 2022 to 7.2%.
From July to September 2022, the unemployment rate for women dropped from 11.6% to 9.4%.
Male unemployment decreased from 9.3% to 6.6% over the past year.
