- On Thursday, the government of Jammu and Kashmir gave final notices to 586 companies that the property given to them under the state’s “industrial development scheme” will be cancelled.
- According to an official, the notices were given because these firms failed to pay the land premium and sign the lease deed.
- 462 of these entities are in Jammu, while 124 are in Kashmir.
