- The Kerala government introduced a programme called the Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) to pay entrepreneurs up to 10 lakh for technological licences they purchase from public research universities.
- 90% of the money would be reimbursed to the entrepreneurs as part of the plan. Anoop Ambika, CEO of KSUM, stated that the initiative “would inspire companies to innovate on their ideas without worrying about the cost associated.”
