LIC clocks largest gain since listing on strong Q2 performance.

  • On November 14, the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) declared a net profit of Rs 15,952 crore for the third quarter of the fiscal year 2022–23, a significant rise from Rs 1,433 crore in the same quarter the previous year.
  • This was the company’s highest intraday gain ever.
  • Assets under management (AUM) for LIC grew from Rs 39.50 lakh crore in the previous quarter to Rs 42.93 lakh crore as of September 30, 2022
  • The insurer’s market share in non-participating products is also gradually growing.
