- The government-run Indian Oil Corporation Limited has started a track and trace project for LPG cylinders based on QR codes, and it is anticipated that over the following three months, all home LPG cylinders will have QR codes on them.
- According to the government, it “has the ability to alleviate a number of current concerns including pilferage, tracking and tracing, and better inventory management of gas cylinders.”
LPG cylinders for domestic use will have QR codes to prevent theft and facilitate tracking.
