Musk Starts Job Cuts with Class-Action Suit

  • Bloomberg reported Friday that Twitter was sued over Elon Musk’s proposal to fire off half its employees.
  • The lawsuit claims the corporation violated the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Act by firing workers without notice.
  • The action, filed by attorney Shannon Liss-Riordan, sought a court order forcing Twitter to comply with the WARN Act and prohibit it from asking employees to sign official paperwork consenting to give up their right to engage in litigation.
