On November 1, the finance ministry reported that September GST collection was Rs 1.52 lakh crore, the second-highest ever.
Eight months of GST receipts over Rs 1.40 lakh crore indicate economic improvement.
“The income for October 2022 is the second biggest monthly collection, following only to April 2022 and it is for the second time the gross GST collection has exceeded Rs. 1.50 lakh crore mark,” the finance ministry stated.
In October, Central GST was 26,039 crore and State GST was 33,396 crore. Cess was 10,505 crore and integrated GST was 81,778 crore.
