- The Sensex opened at 61,441.24 up 827.54 points, while the Nifty was up 241 points at 18,269.20.
- On the Nifty, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Infosys, HCL Technologies, and Apollo Hospitals were among the top gainers, while Eicher Motors saw its shares fall.
Over 800 points were added to the Sensex, and the Nifty opened above 18,200.
