Following reports that Takata air bags allegedly burst in three additional vehicles, killing the drivers, Stellantis and the US government issued a warning to owners of 276,000 older vehicles on Thursday not to drive them.
People are being advised to avoid driving Dodge Magnum waggons, Dodge Challenger and Charger muscle cars, and Chrysler 300 sedans from the 2005 through 2010 model years by the business formerly known as Fiat Chrysler.
Two drivers of 2010 Dodge Chargers were killed when the driver’s air bag inflators came apart, according to Stellantis.
The deaths bring the number of people killed by Takata air bag explosions to at least 32 globally, including 23 in the US.
