Tata Sons begins consolidating its airlines. Report

  • According to a report, Tata Sons has started the process of combining all of its airline businesses—Vistara, AirAsia India, and Air India Express—under one entity of Air India.
  • Air India’s fleet will grow to 233 aircraft, making it the second-largest in the nation, and operational expenses will be reduced as a result of the consolidation.
  • According to the report, Tata Sons, the controlling company of the Tata group, is in talks for the merger with Singapore Airlines (SIA), its joint venture partner in Vistara.
