As bad loans fell, UCO Bank’s net profit rose to Rs 504.52 crore for the quarter ended September 2022.
In the year-ago quarter, the bank made Rs 205.39 crore.
In a regulatory statement, Kolkata-based UCO Bank stated its July-September income grew to Rs 4,964.84 crore from Rs 4,655.86 crore in 2021-22.
Q2 FY23 interest income climbed to Rs 4,184.89 crore from Rs 3,719.79 crore.
As of end-September 2022, the bank’s gross NPAs dropped to 6.58 percent of gross advances from 8.98 percent a year earlier.
