US crypto investors sue FTX’s Bankman-Fried, celebrity promoters

  • Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder of FTX, and a number of celebrities who promoted the exchange are being sued in the US for allegedly using misleading tactics to promote yield-bearing digital currency accounts on FTX.
  • The class action lawsuit claimed that cryptocurrency investors had suffered losses totaling $11 billion.
  • In the complaint, Bankman-Fried and 11 athletes and celebrities who endorsed FTX are being held liable for undisclosed damages.
