- On Thursday, Ashwini Vaishnaw, the IT minister, announced that 200 cities would have 5G connectivity by March or April 2023.
- Vaishnaw stated that “the rollout is in full speed, with 2,500 5G towers being erected per week.”
- He continued by saying that it takes 3–4 years for all countries to fully implement 5G, but India intends to do so in just 2 years.
