CarDekho revenue jumps 47%, post Rs 567 crore loss in FY 23

  1. CarDekho, an autotech unicorn, recorded a 46.3% increase in its annual total income for the fiscal year ending in March 2023, driven by the sale of services and advertising solutions.
  2. Despite the revenue growth, the company reported a consolidated loss of Rs 565.95 crore for the fiscal year, marking a 2.3X increase from the previous year.
  3. Expenses across various categories, including rent, legal fees, IT costs, and advertising and promotion expenses, saw increases, affecting profitability.
  4. CarDekho has been focusing on expanding its insurance and lending business, InsuranceDekho, which raised $150 million in its first investment round led by Goldman Sachs and TVS Capital Funds.
