India exports mangoes worth $47.98 million, up 19% from last year

  1. India saw a 19% increase in mango exports in the first five months of the 2023 financial year, reaching $47.98 million.
  2. Mango exports to the USA surged by 19%, totaling 2043.60 MT during this period.
  3. Collaborative efforts between APEDA and the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare facilitated the export of 27,330.02 MT of mangoes.
  4. India expanded its mango exports to 41 countries, including exploring new markets in Iran, Mauritius, the Czech Republic, and Nigeria.
  5. Preclearance inspections by USDA and South Korean inspectors were conducted to ensure the quality of mango exports, and promotional events were held in various countries.
