Dunzo moves employees from Google Workspace to Zoho to bring down costs
  1. Dunzo, a troubled quick commerce startup, shifted its employee accounts from Google Workspace to Zoho Workspace to reduce costs by around one-third.
  2. The migration aimed to lower expenses as Google Workspace’s enterprise plan costs roughly Rs 1,600 per user monthly, while Zoho offers similar services at Rs 489 per user per month.
  3. The company’s auditor, Deloitte, expressed doubts about Dunzo’s financial sustainability, considering a significant net loss of Rs 1,802 crore in FY23, leading to concerns about the company being a ‘going concern.’
  4. To stabilize its operations, Dunzo has witnessed significant changes, including the departure of key executives, downsizing its Bengaluru office, reducing staff, and facing delayed salary payments, which led to employee departures.
