Sad at absence of debate on budget in Parliament: FM Sitharaman
  1. India, considered one of the fastest-growing economies globally, has yet to reach a gross domestic product (GDP) of $4 trillion, contrary to a viral screenshot circulating on social media suggesting otherwise.
  2. The screenshot circulating on Sunday on social media falsely indicated that India’s GDP had surpassed $4 trillion, leading to widespread sharing and coverage by multiple media agencies, prematurely hailing this achievement.
  3. However, the reality remains that as of now, India’s GDP has not yet crossed the $4 trillion mark. The claims regarding India’s GDP exceeding this milestone are inaccurate and premature.
