B2B marketplace Jumbotail revenue jumps 116%, post Rs 264 crore loss in FY23

Exclusive: Jumbotail Bags $11 Mn From JumboFund, Heron Rock
  1. Jumbotail, a B2B marketplace for wholesale and food grocery, reported a significant increase in losses, soaring to Rs 264 crore in FY23 from Rs 124.7 crore in the previous year, while experiencing robust revenue growth. Revenue from operations surged by 117% to Rs 819 crore compared to Rs 377 crore in the preceding year.
  2. The company’s total expenses widened to Rs 1,114 crore in FY23 from Rs 524 crore. Purchases of stock-in-trade emerged as the largest expense, reaching Rs 761 crore, a substantial increase from Rs 352 crore.
  3. In March 2023, Jumbotail secured Rs 75 crore from Alteria Capital and Innoven Capital in venture debt, aiming to bolster hiring across various verticals such as sourcing, category management, product management, AI/ML, and marketing. The company has raised $125 million in equity from investors including Heron Rock Fund, Kalaari Capital, and Nexus Venture Partners.
