  1. Krutrim SI Designs introduced Krutrim, an AI model for India’s unique needs, driven by Ola Co-founder Bhavish Aggarwal.
  2. Named after the Sanskrit term for ‘artificial,’ Krutrim boasts extensive training on Indian data, outperforming GPT-4 in Indic language performance.
  3. It comprehends 22 Indian languages, crafting content in 10, including Hindi, Tamil, and Bengali, with voice capabilities.
  4. Early access for the base model is underway, and a more advanced model, Krutrim Pro, with enhanced problem-solving features, is in development.
  5. The company secured $24 million in debt funding from Matrix Partners and aims to focus not only on AI models but also on silicon chips and cloud infrastructure for tailored solutions.
