Dairy tech startup Milk Mantra post Rs 12.3 Cr Loss In FY23, Sales Remain Flat

  1. Milk Mantra, a Bhubaneswar-based dairy tech startup, experienced a significant shift in its financials, moving from a net profit of INR 13.6 Cr in FY22 to a net loss of INR 12.3 Cr in FY23.
  2. Despite a marginal 2% increase in operating revenue to INR 272.9 Cr in FY23 from INR 267.1 Cr in the previous fiscal year, the company faced challenges due to a 4.6% YoY decline in milk sales.
  3. Total expenditure surged by 13% to INR 289.4 Cr in FY23 compared to INR 256.6 Cr in the preceding fiscal year, potentially contributing to the company’s transition into a loss-making position.
  4. Founded in 2009 and operational since 2012, Milk Mantra sells products under brands like Milky Moo and Moo Shake, offering packaged milk, curd, paneer, lassi, mishti dahi, and flavored milkshakes.
