India has 1.14 Lakh recognised Startups As Of October : Government

Govt taking significant steps to boost startup ecosystem: Goyal- The New  Indian Express
  1. The government revealed that there are over 1.14 lakh startups recognized under the Startup India initiative, according to Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Som Parkash.
  2. Out of these startups, 54,569 have at least one woman director, as highlighted by the DPIIT-recognised startups.
  3. An investment totaling INR 13,832.91 crore was injected into 718 startups through Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) under the government’s FFS scheme between 2018 and 2022.
  4. This data was shared in response to a query in the Lok Sabha, shedding light on the significant number of recognized startups and their representation of women directors as well as the funding through the FFS scheme.
