Lithium battery recycling startup BatX Energies raise $5 mn in pre-Series A

BatX Energies raises US$ 5 million in pre-series A funding for lithium  battery recycling | Autocar Professional
  1. The investment aims to fuel market expansion and bolster recycling operations throughout India.
  2. Co-founded by Utkarsh Singh and Vikrant Singh, BatX Energies offers end-to-end recycling and refurbishing solutions for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) by converting used batteries into high-quality battery-grade materials.
  3. The company boasts extracting 99.95% pure Lithium, Nickel, and Cobalt from the black mass, resulting in high yield.
  4. BatX Energies states it has already recycled 220 million batteries, aligning its efforts with global sustainability objectives, including the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
  5. Additionally, the startup is actively engaging local scrap collectors, integrating them into the formal sector, and establishing a dependable supply chain, thereby contributing to socio-economic upliftment.
