Foxconn Seeks Bids To Build Chip Assembly Plant In India

Foxconn to Spend More than $1.5 Billion to Expand Operations in India
  1. Foxconn, a Taiwanese electronics major, is seeking proposals for building a chip assembly and testing facility in India.
  2. The project’s initial investment is set at INR 1,200 Cr.
  3. Foxconn’s subsidiary, Foxconn Hon Hai Technology India Mega Development Pvt Ltd, is leading the initiative.
  4. Interested parties are invited to submit proposals for constructing the plant on Foxconn’s owned land.
  5. Foxconn Hon Hai Technology India Mega Development will invest $37.2 Mn for a 40% stake in the joint venture with the HCL Group.
