MakeO, the parent company of dental aligner brand Toothsi, has raised ₹90 crore in a fresh funding round as it looks to expand its dental care business across India and Southeast Asia. The investment round was led by Singularity AMC, with participation from DSP Family Office, Genesis and Unispace Ventures. The company plans to use the capital to strengthen its physical clinical network, improve manufacturing capabilities and invest in technology and customer experience.
The fundraise comes as MakeO expands beyond its original digital-first teeth-straightening business through acquisitions and regional expansion. Following its combination with Singapore-based dental care company Zenyum, the group is building a broader platform spanning clear aligners, dental services and oral care. MakeO said its combined business has crossed ₹500 crore in revenue and became EBITDA profitable earlier in 2026. It is targeting a doubling of revenue over the next two to three years.
MakeO Raises ₹90 Crore in Fresh Funding
The latest ₹90 crore investment is intended to support MakeO’s next phase of growth, with a focus on expanding its offline presence and strengthening its end-to-end dental care platform.
The round was led by Singularity AMC, while DSP Family Office, Genesis and Unispace Ventures also participated. The capital will support expansion across India and Southeast Asia, including investments in clinical centres, backend technology, manufacturing facilities and consumer experience.
The funding also gives MakeO additional resources to evaluate acquisitions in dental care and clear aligner businesses. Such deals could help the company expand its geographical footprint, add clinical capacity and reach more customers through established local networks.
Rather than relying entirely on digital customer acquisition, MakeO is seeking to combine online discovery and treatment planning with physical clinical support. This approach is important in dental care, where diagnosis, treatment supervision and follow-up appointments can influence patient experience and outcomes.

What Is MakeO and How Does Toothsi Fit In?
Founded in 2018 by Arpi Mehta, Pravin Shetty, Manjul Jain and Anirudh Kal, MakeO began as a digital-first platform offering clinical makeover services. Its Toothsi brand focuses on customised clear aligners designed to straighten teeth without the appearance of traditional metal braces.
The company later expanded its business under the MakeO umbrella, including skin and hair treatment services through its consumer brands. Its model combines digital tools with professional consultation and treatment support.
Toothsi’s clear aligners are designed using digital dental scans and treatment planning. Customers typically undergo an assessment before receiving a series of aligners intended to move their teeth gradually. The process requires professional oversight, and treatment suitability varies by patient.
MakeO’s broader strategy is to make dental and other clinical services accessible through a combination of online channels and physical centres. The company can use digital platforms for customer acquisition and coordination, while dentists and clinical professionals handle assessments and treatment-related decisions.
The distinction matters because dental care is not simply an online retail business. Customer trust, clinical quality, treatment adherence and follow-up care are central to the service.
Zenyum Acquisition Expands MakeO’s Asian Footprint
A major development in MakeO’s expansion strategy was its combination with Singapore-headquartered Zenyum, a consumer dental care company known for clear aligners and oral care products. The transaction broadened MakeO’s presence across Southeast and North Asia and helped establish a larger regional platform.
The combined group has a network of approximately 1,100 partner dentists across 10 countries and more than 60 offline clinical centres, according to company information reported alongside the funding announcement. It has served more than 400,000 consumers.
The acquisition allows MakeO to build on Zenyum’s regional reach while using its own manufacturing and technology capabilities to serve a wider customer base. Both brands can continue to address their existing markets while the group seeks efficiencies in procurement, product development and operations.
The strategy also provides a potential route to expand beyond India’s major cities. Dental care demand can differ significantly across markets, and local clinical partnerships may help the company adapt its services to regional preferences and regulatory requirements.
