Copado Agentia Headless brings Copado’s Salesforce delivery workflows into terminals and coding tools through a command-line interface and a local Model Context Protocol server. Announced on September 14, the product preview is designed to let developers and coding agents run governed delivery steps without leaving the editor.

The central change is where a release starts. Copado’s product page says a developer can select a work item, inspect metadata, run tests, push changes and request promotion from an IDE or terminal. The interface may be new, but Copado says the control record stays in its platform. Five agents cover one delivery lifecycle

Copado describes five roles: Plan turns requests into work items; Build uses organisation metadata while changing code; Test creates and runs checks; Release applies promotion gates; and Operate monitors production signals. The company also describes shared context between the roles, although customers will need to verify how memory, permissions and retention behave in their own configuration.

The documentation currently lists 235 commands across general, CI/CD, testing and AI functions. It also states that Source Format pipelines are supported while Metadata Format pipelines are not. Those boundaries are more useful to an evaluator than broad automation claims because they show where a proof of concept can fail.

For Indian IT services teams managing Salesforce estates across time zones, an IDE-based control path could reduce ticket and console switching. The more important benefit, however, would be consistent evidence: a client should be able to see who requested a promotion, which tests ran, what an agent changed and which human approved the final deployment.

In plain terms, Copado Agentia Headless is a new operating interface for governed Salesforce delivery, not permission for an AI agent to deploy unchecked.
