Correction, 5 October 2026: An earlier version dated this announcement to October and asserted completed purchases through Siri, broad offline try-on support, precise device compatibility and planned rollout milestones without adequate evidence. Glance announced the integration on 30 September. Those unsupported details have been removed or attributed to their source.
Glance announced on 30 September 2026 that its personal-shopping app can work with Siri AI on iPhone and iPad. According to Glance’s release, people can start a shopping request with Siri, refine product ideas and move into the Glance experience. The announcement did not establish that every Siri user can complete an entire purchase by voice or that the feature is available on every Apple device and in every country.
What Glance announced
Glance described examples such as asking for shoes or outfits in ordinary language. Its App Store listing says users can ask for Glance aloud, follow up on a request and explore products or a full outfit. It also describes iPad layouts, widgets, sharing photos with the app and a virtual try-on feature. These are the developer’s product descriptions, not independent measurements of shopping outcomes.
Glance had already described Siri integration on 10 September. Its 30 September release expanded and formalized the iPhone and iPad announcement after Apple shipped iOS 27. This article covers that dated release; it is not a new product debut on 5 October.
Which Apple features are involved?
Apple’s 14 September platform update says Siri AI and app actions began rolling out with iOS 27 and iPadOS 27. It also lists hardware eligibility and describes Siri AI as a beta. Apple’s announcement is about the platform; it is not an independent test of Glance’s implementation. A TechRadar hands-on report noted that installing iOS 27 alone did not automatically give every user access to the full Siri AI beta. Readers should check the feature availability on their own device and region.
Glance’s earlier blog discusses on-device virtual try-on under particular conditions. The available releases do not support a blanket promise that offline rendering works on all iPhones and iPads. Nor do they prove a particular Neural Engine design, zero cloud processing for all images or synchronized shopping carts across devices. Those details were presented too confidently in the earlier article.
What the business move means
Glance, backed by InMobi, is putting its shopping service in an Apple app as well as the phone surfaces for which the company is known. A Siri entry point could reduce the steps between describing an item and seeing suggestions. Whether this raises sales, lowers returns or changes consumer habits remains unmeasured. Glance’s assertions about personalization and convenience should be read as product claims, not independently verified results.
A 5 October NewsBytes summary revisited the announcement, but it does not make the event itself new on 5 October. This story is also distinct from our broader explainer on AI shopping agents. No reliable public figure yet shows how many Glance customers use the Siri integration, how many purchases it drives or how it performs in India.
