Research and startup support widen the operating footprint

Google is also adding water stewardship and waste and circularity as focus areas for its Center for Climate Technology, established with the Indian government’s Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser. Three inaugural projects have been selected from 77 applications in green-workforce training and low-carbon construction materials, while proposals for the two new areas are being invited through the Manthan platform.

The fifth track supports four Indian startups in the first Google DeepMind Accelerator: AI for the Planet cohort.
