In its May 27, 2026 account, Salesforce said an AI-assisted migration of 33 API endpoints took 13 days, compared with an estimate of 231 person-days.

Person-days and elapsed days measure different things

A person-day measures one person’s work for a day. Elapsed days measure how much calendar time passes. Team size and parallel work affect the relationship between them. Consequently, the two figures alone do not establish a like-for-like reduction from a 231-calendar-day project to a 13-calendar-day project, or an independently measured productivity multiple.

What Salesforce reported

The company described a Claude-based workflow with reusable instructions, review feedback and parallel execution. Its separately reported 5% decline in total engineering incidents was a broader organizational metric, not a result specific to this migration.

These company-reported results are not an independent benchmark or a guarantee for other migrations.
