Shares of Lenskart Solutions surged as much as 11.1% to a record high of ₹767.40 on November 5, 2026, after the eyewear retailer reported a sharp increase in its September-quarter profit. The company’s consolidated profit after tax (PAT) rose to approximately ₹232 crore in Q2 FY27, more than doubling from the year-ago period, while revenue increased 32.5% to ₹2,845 crore. Strong sales growth in India, higher eyewear volumes, store expansion and improving operating margins helped strengthen investor confidence.

The stock-market rally followed the company’s quarterly results announced on November 4. Several brokerages maintained positive ratings and raised their price targets, pointing to Lenskart’s growth opportunities in domestic and international markets. However, some analysts also cautioned that the company’s valuation already reflects substantial growth expectations. The rally therefore brings two important questions into focus: whether Lenskart can sustain its earnings momentum and whether its expansion strategy can justify its market valuation.

Lenskart Share Price Hits Record High After Q2 Results

Lenskart shares opened at ₹745.05 on the BSE on November 5, compared with the previous session’s close of ₹691. The stock subsequently climbed to an intraday high of ₹767.40, representing a gain of approximately 11.1%.

It later pared some of its gains, trading around ₹733.55 at 11:15 am, according to Inc42. At that price, the company’s market capitalisation stood at approximately ₹1.28 lakh crore, or around $13.5 billion.

The rally came as investors responded to the company’s improved profitability and continued expansion across its retail network.

The record-high movement also reflected positive brokerage commentary following the results. Jefferies and Equirus raised their price targets, while Nomura retained the highest target among the brokerages covered in the market reports.

The intraday high should not be confused with the stock’s closing price. Share prices can fluctuate considerably during trading, particularly after major earnings announcements.

Lenskart Q2 FY27 Results: Revenue Rises 32.5%, Profit More Than Doubles

Lenskart reported strong growth across its key financial indicators for the quarter ended September 30, 2026.

Financial metricQ2 FY27Q2 FY26Year-on-year growth
Revenue from operations₹2,845 crore₹2,147 crore32.5%
Profit after tax₹232 crore₹113 croreMore than 2x
EBITDA (pre-Ind AS 116)₹392 crore₹237 crore65%
EBITDA margin (pre-Ind AS 116)13.8%11.1%+270 bps

The figures are based on the company’s reported financial highlights. EBITDA before Ind AS 116 is used here to provide a comparable view of operating performance after excluding the accounting impact of lease-related adjustments.

The improvement in profitability was particularly significant. Revenue increased by 32.5%, while EBITDA on the pre-Ind AS 116 basis grew 65%. This indicates that operating earnings expanded faster than sales.

The company’s first-half performance was also strong. For H1 FY27, revenue increased 33% to ₹5,559 crore, while PAT reached ₹461 crore. That was equivalent to approximately 87% of the company’s full-year FY26 profit.

India Business Drives Growth

India remained Lenskart’s largest market and an important contributor to its quarterly performance.

Revenue from the India business increased 35.3% year-on-year to approximately ₹1,668 crore in Q2 FY27. Stronger customer demand, higher eyewear volumes and continued expansion of the retail network supported growth.

One important indicator was same-store sales growth, which measures revenue growth at stores operating over a comparable period. Lenskart recorded India same-store sales growth of 20.8%, indicating that growth was not driven solely by opening new outlets.

The company also reported a 26.5% increase in eyewear volumes to approximately 86 lakh units during the quarter.

These figures suggest that Lenskart is increasing sales through both existing stores and its expanding retail footprint.

Store Expansion Continues Across India and Overseas Markets

Lenskart added 165 net new stores during Q2 FY27.

The domestic additions included 94 stores in Tier 2 and smaller markets, highlighting the company’s effort to expand beyond major metropolitan areas.

Physical retail remains central to Lenskart’s omnichannel strategy. Stores allow customers to undergo eye testing, try frames and lenses, and access services that support online purchases.

Expansion also creates operating costs, including rent, employee salaries, inventory and store infrastructure. The company’s ability to generate sufficient sales from new outlets will therefore be important for maintaining profitability.

International Business Adds Another Growth Engine

Lenskart’s international operations also delivered strong growth during the quarter.

Revenue from international markets increased 29.5% year-on-year to approximately ₹1,201 crore. The business is an important part of the company’s longer-term expansion strategy as it builds its presence beyond India.

International growth also attracted attention from brokerages. HSBC highlighted approximately 23% constant-currency growth in international operations, suggesting that the business continued to expand even after adjusting for currency movements.

For Lenskart, international markets provide an opportunity to diversify revenue sources and build a larger global eyewear business. However, operating across countries also brings challenges involving local competition, consumer preferences, regulations and currency fluctuations.
