C.E. Info Systems, the parent company of MapmyIndia and Mappls, reported a 90.6% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to ₹35.3 crore for the second quarter of FY27. Revenue from operations grew 15.8% to ₹131.7 crore, compared with ₹113.8 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. The company also recorded a significant improvement in operating profitability, with EBITDA increasing 60.1% to ₹45 crore and its EBITDA margin expanding to 34.1%.

The September-quarter performance was supported by growth in the automotive and enterprise businesses, alongside increasing demand for the company’s map-led and Internet of Things (IoT)-based solutions. However, the results also showed a sequential slowdown: revenue declined 5.7% from the June quarter, while net profit fell 29.1%. Alongside the financial results, MapmyIndia announced several leadership changes as it looks to strengthen its artificial intelligence capabilities and develop new products.

MapmyIndia Q2 FY27 Results: Key Financial Numbers

The company’s consolidated financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, showed improvement across major profitability indicators.

Financial metricQ2 FY27Q2 FY26YoY growth
Revenue from operations₹131.7 crore₹113.8 crore15.8%
Total income₹147.9 crore₹124.2 crore19.1%
EBITDA₹45 crore₹28.1 crore60.1%
EBITDA margin34.1%24.7%+9.4 percentage points
Net profit (PAT)₹35.3 crore₹18.5 crore90.6%
PAT margin23.8%14.9%+8.9 percentage points

The numbers indicate that profitability grew considerably faster than revenue. EBITDA increased by approximately ₹16.9 crore, while net profit rose by ₹16.8 crore compared with the year-ago quarter.

The EBITDA margin expansion is particularly important because it indicates that the company generated more operating earnings from each rupee of revenue.

Total income should not be confused with revenue from operations. The Q2 FY27 total included approximately ₹16.1 crore in other income, taking the overall figure to ₹147.9 crore.

Sequential Performance: Profit Declines 29.1%

Despite the strong year-on-year growth, MapmyIndia reported lower revenue and profit compared with Q1 FY27.

Financial metricQ1 FY27Q2 FY27QoQ change
Revenue from operations₹139.7 crore₹131.7 crore-5.7%
Total income₹154.5 crore₹147.9 crore-4.3%
Net profit₹49.7 crore₹35.3 crore-29.1%

The sequential decline suggests that the company experienced a softer quarter compared with the strong June-quarter performance.

Investors therefore need to evaluate both comparisons. The year-on-year figures show improving profitability compared with FY26, while the sequential numbers indicate that earnings momentum moderated during Q2.

Automotive and Enterprise Businesses Drive Growth

MapmyIndia’s automotive and enterprise verticals were the major growth contributors during the September quarter.

According to Chairman and Managing Director Rakesh Verma, the automotive business recorded 51.9% year-on-year growth in Q2 FY27, while the enterprise business grew 44.1%.

For the first half of FY27, automotive growth stood at 40.4%, while the enterprise business expanded 16.5%.

The automotive business benefits from increasing adoption of integrated mapping and IoT-based mobility solutions. These offerings help vehicle manufacturers and mobility businesses incorporate navigation, connected-vehicle features, location intelligence and telematics into their products.

The enterprise business serves companies that require mapping, location data and geospatial technology for logistics, transportation, infrastructure and other commercial applications.

The growth in these segments highlights how MapmyIndia is expanding beyond conventional digital maps into a broader location-intelligence and mobility technology business.

Map-Led and IoT-Led Products Show Different Growth Trends

MapmyIndia’s business can also be examined through its product categories.

For H1 FY27, revenue from map-led products and services increased 8.9% to ₹175.3 crore. The business recorded an EBITDA margin of 47.1%, demonstrating its contribution to the company’s profitability.

Its IoT-led business delivered faster growth, with revenue increasing 29.1% to ₹96.2 crore during the first half.

The IoT-led segment also improved its profitability. EBITDA increased to ₹18.5 crore in H1 FY27 from ₹7.9 crore in the corresponding period last year.

Product categoryH1 FY27 revenueYoY growth
Map-led products and services₹175.3 crore8.9%
IoT-led products and services₹96.2 crore29.1%

The figures show two different growth drivers. Map-led services remain an important source of high-margin revenue, while IoT-based solutions are expanding at a faster rate.

The company attributed the IoT segment’s improved profitability to a greater contribution from higher-margin solutions and operating leverage.

H1 FY27 Performance Remains Strong

MapmyIndia’s first-half results provide a broader picture of its financial performance beyond the September quarter.

Financial metricH1 FY27H1 FY26YoY growth
Revenue from operations₹271.5 crore₹235.4 crore18.4%
Total income₹307.2 crore₹259.5 crore18.4%
EBITDA₹101.1 crore₹84 crore20.4%
Net profit₹85 crore₹64.3 crore32.2%

Net profit grew faster than revenue during the first six months, indicating an improvement in overall profitability.

The company also reported cash and cash equivalents, including financial investments, of ₹730.3 crore. This compares with ₹639.1 crore in the corresponding year-ago reporting period.

The cash position provides financial flexibility as MapmyIndia invests in product development, technology infrastructure and expansion across its business verticals.
